Spring is here...

and things keep changing. I (Scott) have been back at work for 3 weeks and we are preparing for Easter. Cinda and Ron (Nana and Grandpa Ron) are visiting us from the States, and we just said good-bye to our friend "Uncle" Peter. Life is busy as a family of 6, but we continue to smile, laugh, and forgive. Here are some pictures from our recent adventures.

Uncle Peter was a student at the Bauhaus working on his PhD in Engineering. Over the last few years he grew closer and closer to us starting with the name Uncle Peter and ending up really deserving the title. He babysat Stanley, Holly and Stuart while Heather and I were in the hospital for Samuel's birth. He joined us for holidays and special celebrations. He took family pictures, and was part of our family. He will be very missed around here.

Bringing over some stuff he was getting rid of.

Goodbye at the train station

Last "family" picture

To make saying goodbye to Peter easier, it was nice to have Nana and Grandpa Ron here. Our time with them is not over yet, but we've already made some fun memories including a hike from Ettersberg Schloss (palace) to Buchenwald.

Before I went back to work, we had to make a family trip up to Berlin to renew passports and report Samuel's birth. The kids got to miss two days of school and as a special treat we visited Legoland Discovery Center. The kids did a great job and we had lots of fun. It was also fun to travel to Berlin with Batta who was preparing to move there for his new job.
