For the Fourth of July we decided not to go to the big McMinnville Fourth of July Celebration at Patton Middle School. Instead, we went to McMenamin's Hotel Oregon and enjoy a nice dinner on the rooftop! It's a really neat experience, they have a bunch of tables set up on the roof and you can see all of McMinnville. We went at 7:45, had a late lunch, watched the sunset, and enjoyed the fireworks going off all around McMinnville. At 9:45 we were also able to enjoy the Patton Middle School Fireworks as well. It was fun to just relax and enjoy a long drawn out dinner.
This last weekend we were able to enjoy the Sandy Mountain Festival. We watched the parade with Megan Schiffner (Knoll), Cinda, and MaryJane. It is always interesting for Heather to go to the Sandy Mountain Festival because she is constantly seeing old friends. At the festival we were able to enjoy some of the good food, and shows. We saw
Tater A. Peal, a clown who use to perform with Barnum and Bailey Circus and who is a good friend of the Tilgners. Cinda was also performing at the Festival, although she was listed as
Troubador Cinda and performed as Nana Banana. She is indeed a lady of different personalities!
