Life Back in Germany, the first two months

It has now been almost two months since we returned from our trip to America. We had enough time to take a deep breath before jumping back into another school year. Stanley is now in 2nd grade, Holly is in her second hear of Early Primary (American Kindergarten), and Stuart has started at a German Kindergarten (American Pre-School). Our weeks are busy but we try to make time for each other and to not over do things. Here is a sampling of our life these last few months.

In our home back to school means Zuckertuten time. In Germany when a student begins first grade they get a cone filled with school supplies, treats and toys. We have adopted that to all kids for any grade (but less treats and toys). All three of ours received their cones this year. Why not make back to school a celebration?

Around those first few days of school we also found out the gender of our newest family member. But what you may not know, is that we have also chosen a name. Samuel Overby is expected to join our family early January 2016. We are excited for this newest member, and we have not picked a middle name yet so we're open to suggestions.

Blue is for Boy!

At the doctor's office waiting to find out if it will be a boy or girl.

The weather around here was very nice almost until the middle of September when fall really began. During those nice months we really made an effort to get out and enjoy God's creation.

This also included riding our bikes to school every day, including Holly.

We've also had fun playing inside, doing puzzles....

...piggyback rides...

...playing Lego Ninjago...

... and enjoying reading time. Stanley is an excellent reader.

We are even starting piano lessons

With our teacher Miss Mae :-)

Life is good for us, and now we are moving into fall break for two weeks off enjoying more time together, the Onion market, and more memories. Thank you for taking the time to catch up with us a little.
